It's difficult to imagine such a simple animation being commissioned now, but most kids growing up in the 70s and 80s will remember this one with fondness! : )

As an American, it's cool to learn about animation from the UK and elsewhere that I would have otherwise never heard of.

Thank you, this was a wonderful nostalgia trip. I am stunned to learn that the Shopkeeper had a name we never knew! So sad and strange that the originals weren't valued enough to be kept when it was such a popular programme
