A unique way of looking at a unique film.

Mary Poppins also incorporated an animatronics robin (Spoon Full of Sugar), making a trifecta from the Disney toolbox.

You are so right. I love that scene too, thank you for reminding me.

I’ve always loved it when animation and live action are combined. Although I find animated characters in live action seems to work better that the other way around.

Fair point, I can see that too. Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment John.

I usually read your posts! It’s a simple joy.

The problem is that the real people are too dark and the shows they cast aren’t I’ve wanted to try my self with a dark background. I’ll have a play at some point.

A favourite part of a favourite film—I love everything about the Jolly Holiday section, particularly the colours and the costumes and of course the penguins! So few films are genuinely beloved generation after generation, but this was a huge part of my daughter’s childhood too. In fact perfect for celebrating IWD, I suspect MP was most children’s introduction to the Sufragette movement! 💜🤍💚

Thanks so much. I genuinely didn’t post for that reason but you are so right. It is such a generational spanning film and so simple at heart. Thanks for reading and commenting.
