I haven’t heard of this cartoon, but it sounds like it was a nostalgic favourite judging by the comments! Great round-up, it sounds like a creative (and funny) show :)
I just just talking about Bananaman on Thursday with my nieces (9 and 7 years old) - they were ‘forcing’ me to watch Supertato at the time! They’ve seen reruns of this show, and love it too!
Even mum remembered the bit of the opening “When Eric eats a banana...”, but I was sure it was 29 Acacia Avenue (minor thing, but it stuck in my head)
I too had that memory, how odd, of Avenue. I had to watch an episode (usually do each Sunday of my chosen writing) to double check and it’s Road. Thank you for taking the time to spot this one. Am now going out for a banana milkshake 😎
I didn't know that. How cool.
Thanks for sharing. I loved it, too and thought that the voices were perfect at the time.
I LOVED bananaman! There was an amazing dessert in the great British menu this year that paid homage to bananaman 😍
I don't remember ever watching Bananaman, but enjoyed your roundup. I love the idea that he got his superpowers by eating a piece of fruit! :)

Wow, I never knew about Bananaman! He would be a major hit with my toddler. 😂
He was ace and the voices were perfect. Am sure your toddler would agree 😎
