You know it. Definitely has a Lindgren vibe and certainly worth watching.

It really is. I like the Norse thread that runs through it. Thanks for reading.

Snap! The animation is fantastic but how they have brought together the stories from the books is wonderful too. Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment. 🤩

Thanks, Charlie. It is such a well-put-together animation.

Damn, where has this thing been all my life? I'm of Scandinavian ancestry, and I really like animated shows whose characters and plotting are multidimensional (and write about similar ones in my own fiction). It's probably just Netflix's bait-and-switch programming strategy that kept me from it. I'll have to try and see if I can view it another way.

And definitely I will look at the graphic novels. Pearson is clearly following in the footsteps of Tove Jansson and Astrid Lindgren and making them proud.

It's brilliantly animated too, such attention to detail.

I'm so glad you shared Hilda with everyone. I love the animated series and own several books now. I hope the show gains a well deserved wider audience.

I've always found Hilda to be a really unusual animation with lovable characters! :)

A great cartoon/story series, and a great introduction, too - thanks, Jon!

I’ve watched some episodes of Hilda with my family and it’s such an adorable, funny show. I didn’t realise it was a graphic novel first though, the characters are brilliant! Thank you for sharing :)
