The Flumps were quality, Pootle, Posie and Perkin I think. They were brilliant, great memories 🤩

The sinister control of the BBC! Frightening and funny all at once. Great post, Sarah!

Love this and the way Sarah has written of the nostalgia of the show. These early memories stay with us forever, and the piece gave me a rosy glow :) The show was a bit early for me, but I recognise some of the other shows you mention from the mid 70s and into the 80s, such as 'Crackerjack'. Also, Michael Bond is a legend! (My end of month review next week has a special mention of his most enduring character, Paddington :)

I don’t remember this show, cos I’m an 80s kid, but I know a lot of folks who do, including my other half. They’ve mentioned it so many times that it’s great to get the context. 😁

You did a fantastic job of giving us a primer in all things Herbs, and I’ll be sharing this article around my friends and family! 🥰

We watched ‘The Flumps’ at school - slight aside I know.
