It's interesting that Hawkins had to be hidden from the animators to do his voices. If it had been an American program, especially a 21st century one, the animators could have observed him speaking and incorporated his facial tics into the animation of the individual character.
Another nice essay about a beloved UK show that us folks across the pond likely never heard of before. (I didn't).
It really was good, fun animation.
Another new one for me. I love anything with pirates! Good to hear it’s clean family fun 😂
I know, he was a great voice actor. Thank you for reading.
Phew, thank you 😁
I know, I was shocked too. 🥲
Yay! Go do it 😎
Thanks David, it really is a cult classic here.
I loved the Captain Pugwash TV series. Thank you for the reminder. I am amazed that all the voices were done by one person.
You mean to say that the cabin boy was never actually called Roger, except on the playground? Well colour me shocked 😱😉
And no, I won’t repeat the other (worse) innuendo from this series, don’t worry 😉
Although the innuendo of someone called Master Mates can’t just be in my wee grubby mind ;)
Thanks, Jon. It isn’t one I watched, but you’ve motivated me to check it out on YouTube. :)

This always seemed like a fun and jolly animation! :)
