The honour of a featured artist.

Our featured animator this month is white-onrice

The Cape Town Art Fair is an annual event that celebrates and showcases artists. It is sponsored by Investec, a financial services company. 

I had the honour of being the featured artist in 2022. 

As part of the campaign, I was commissioned to create some animated content for social media to promote the event. The fair was centred around Legacy. 

The idea for the animation was to have a Zebra (Investec's mascot) folded from a sheet of paper and have the rest of the zebra's family join him in the frame. Embracing the message of legacy. 

This animation took about 3 weeks to conceptualise the origami zebra design and create the storyboard. Shooting was about a day, with another day for editing for different platforms.
