Fictional Interview - Scooby Doo
Scooby-Doo – Snacks, Scares, and Solving Mysteries with Style
OK, so over the summer break, I had this idea of doing a few fictional interviews of characters from animation, stay with me. I have tried to ask the same questions to each character and then write their answers as if it were them. You get the drift. These are meant to be short, fun quips, which I hope you enjoy.
Jon@Animated: Scooby-Doo! Thanks for joining us. You’ve been sniffing out clues since 1969. What’s your secret to staying so energetic?
Scooby-Doo: Ruh-roh! Snacks. Lots and lots of snacks. And naps. And snacks during naps. Heh-heh-heh!
Jon@Animated: You’ve faced ghosts, goblins, and even cyber-phantoms. Ever get scared?
Scooby-Doo: Scared? Me? Ruh-huh! I get scared of my own shadow sometimes. But if Shaggy runs, I run. If he hides, I hide. If he eats... I eat first!
Jon@Animated: You’ve had quite a few animated styles over the years. Any favourite look?
Scooby-Doo: I like the one where my fur is extra fluffy. Makes me look faster when I’m running away! Also, the one where I wore a superhero cape. Scooby-Doo-Doooo! Very heroic.
Jon@Animated: What’s it like working with the Mystery Inc. gang?
Scooby-Doo: Velma’s smart. Fred’s brave. Daphne smells nice. Shaggy’s my best bud. We’re like a big, spooky family, with questionable decision-making skills.
Jon@Animated: You’ve been voiced by some extraordinary talents, from Don Messick to Frank Welker. Ever listen to yourself and think, “Wow, I sound cool”?
Scooby-Doo: Sometimes I bark in the mirror and go, “Rhat’s a handsome dog!” Then I trip over my tail and eat a couch cushion by accident.
Jon@Animated: Any advice for young pups who want to get into mystery-solving?
Scooby-Doo: Always trust your nose. And your stomach. If something smells fishy, it’s either a clue... or dinner. Also, never go into the basement alone. Or with friends... don’t go.
Jon@Animated: Final question — what’s your dream Scooby Snack?
Scooby-Doo: Ohhh... peanut butter, sardines, whipped cream, jellybeans, and a sprinkle of glitter. Served in a golden dog bowl. With a side of applause.
Jon@Animated: Scooby, it’s been a treat. Stay brave, stay hungry.
Scooby-Doo: Ruff! Thanks, Jon! And remember, if the ghost says “boo,” you say “Scooby-Dooby-Doo!” and run!

Was hoping Scooby would spill the tea on working with Scrappy...
Absolutely wonderful!
