Environmental Packaging Animation

Brilliant use of animals in origami animation

Here is part three of my featured animator white-onrice.

These animations were created for Spar, a South African food retail franchise. They decided to switch from plastic to paper bags for environmental reasons. 

The campaign's idea was to create a series of animations showing some of the ocean wildlife affected by plastic.

A simple backdrop with a branded Spar sheet of paper sliding into the frame and folding into the animal. This was an extensive campaign with six animations and tutorial videos on creating the animals. 

This was a 2-month project: four weeks of designing the characters, two weeks of shooting and editing, and two weeks for the tutorials.

Not having to do the sound design for each animation saved some time on this project.
